H.M. Miller Construction Co. and Dominion Energy continue to work on a gas main replacement project which is located in the neighborhood surrounding Overwood Rd. and Thurmont Rd.
Locations and limits of the work are:
>N. Wheaton Rd. – W. Market St. to Overwood Rd.
>Overwood Rd. – W. Market St. to Sand Run Rd.
>Overwood Rd. – Sand Run Rd. to Winslow Ave.
>Sand Run Rd. – Winston Rd. to Overwood Rd.
>Keith Ave. – Wyndham Rd. to Thurmont Rd.
>Thurmont Rd. – Sand Run Rd. to Ashwood Rd.
>Oakridge Dr. – Thornhill Dr. to Brookfield Dr.
>Brookfield Dr. – Thornhill Dr. to dead end
>Brookshire Rd. – Overwood Rd. to Sand Run Rd.
>McCormick Pl. – Overwood Rd. to Sand Run Rd.
Lane closures and shifting of traffic are to be expected, but flaggers will be on site to help maintain all traffic as the work progresses.
This project, including gas main and restoration work, is expected to be completed by Friday, June 16, 2023.
