Project Description
The purpose of this project is to repair or replace degraded areas of the sanitary sewer system. The work will be completed by CIPP lining, point repairs, and replacement of realignment of existing sewer infrastructure. Locations of the 87 necessary repairs were determined from the City’s CMOM Program and filtered for criticality and potential for failure.
Anticipated Maintenance of Traffic
Closures of 1 week or less may be needed in some locations. Residents will be notified of the work and any partial road closures and detours.

Benefits to Akron Upon Completion of Work
Service life of repaired sewers will increase by a minimum of 50 years, and inflow and infiltration of groundwater and stormwater into the sewer system will be reduced.
