SET, Inc. and the City of Akron plan to begin a full improvement project on Monday, April 9, at the intersection of W. Market St., Elmdale Ave. and Kenilworth Dr. involving the realignment of Elmdale Ave.
This project will be completed in two phases.
The first phase will require the detouring of eastbound traffic on W. Market St. and all traffic to Elmdale Ave. and Kenilworth Dr.
Eastbound traffic on W. Market Street will be detoured using S. Hawkins Ave., W. Exchange St., S. Rose Blvd. back to W. Market St. Traffic for Elmdale Ave. will be detoured using W. Exchange St., S. Rose Blvd. and W. Market St. Traffic for Kenilworth Dr. will be detoured using Castle Blvd. and Radcliffe Ave.
The local traffic in the area will be detoured south on Ross Ave. from W. Market St. to W. Exchange St.
Drivers are urged to obey all road construction signs and to use caution through all zones as the contractor completes work in the area.
The first phase is expected to be complete by Friday, May 18, and the remaining portion of the project is currently planned to be complete by Friday, July 6.
