S Arlington St to Black St
Starts: May 8, 2017
Ends: August 11, 2017
No Access (Detour Posted)
H.M. Miller, H.R. Gray and the City of Akron have reopened a north and a southbound lane through the intersection of S. Arlington St. and E. Exchange St. and have closed E. Exchange St. between S. Arlington St. and Black St. to all THRU traffic until approximately August 11 for a continuing sewer separation project in the area.
The east and westbound traffic will be detoured using Beaver St., Carroll St. E. Market St. and the reverse.
E. Exchange St. between E. Market St. and S. Arlington St. remains closed. Left turns for westbound traffic on E. Market St. at S. Arlington St. continues to be allowed during this closure, but once the intersection of E. Exchange St. and S. Arlington St. is fully re-opened to all traffic, left turns will no longer be permitted at this location.
The work zone on E. Exchange St. has shifted far enough west that Middlebury Marketplace/Dave's Supermarket can now be accessed by traffic from the east. This work zone will continue to shift west as work is being completed.
Access will continue to be maintained for other local businesses during this closure. Please remember to drive safely and to obey all road construction signs.
